Loryl MacDonald, Director, Thomas Fisher Rare Book Library and Christina Stewart, Assistant Media Archivist presented Dr. Doolittle’s Adventures Across Canada (1926–1930), a conversation about the life, work, and archival collection of Dr. Perry E. Doolittle (1861-1933). Doolittle was the founder of the Canadian Automobile Association and advocate for the Trans-Canada Highway. The talk will be illustrated with some of the films and photographs Dr. Doolittle shot during his cross country adventures, as well as some local Toronto film footage taken at the time.
