The First series are screenplays written and edited by Wayne Grigsby and various writers. Screenplays include series that got approved for production and others that were turned down at proposals. This series contains various screenplay drafts, final drafts, contracts, correspondences, audio tracks, and videos. Materials are in English and French, especially series and articles from Quebec. The series is divided into multiple sub-series from 1-14. Sub-series are titled by production titles written and produced by Wayne Grigsby; such as Blondin, Call Me Uncle, E.N.G.: Electronic News Gathering, October 1970, Last Stop Paris, Sherpa Love & Political Animals, Black Harbour, North of 60, Trudeau, A Guy & A Girl, Sex Traffic/Elena and Vara, Blessed Stranger, Task Force: Caviar and Dark Eyes. The Last two sub-series are Various Screenplays & Productions, and Development & Unproduced 2000, which are miscellaneous screenplays and scripts that are labelled as unproduced series. Included in this series are two of Grigsby most well-known produced and written movies, which are October 1970 and Trudeau: The Man, The Myth, The Movie. The mini-series October 1970 follows the separatist terrorists in Montreal who kidnap British diplomat James Cross and murder Quebec Labour Minister Pierre Laporte. Trudeau is a two-part mini-series which explores the political and personal legacy of Pierre Elliott Trudeau, a famous Canadian Prime Minister.
The Second series includes Correspondence and Awards. The majority of the correspondence is from various production companies. Much of his correspondence was for sending his proposals to various production companies, mainly C.B.C for approval. Wayne Grigsby also received proposals from other screenplay writers and contracts for his series. Grigsby also received a few letters and emails from his friends and fans. This collection also includes the 19th Annual Gemini Awards Industry Gala and Montreal ACTRA Awards, in which Grigsby’s series was nominated for both awards.
The Third series includes Data Files, floppy discs containing files from various programs, and disc files for Grigsby’s series which includes ENG scripts, Dark Eyes, Task Force Caviar, Black Harbour, and other series that Grigsby produced and wrote.
The Fourth Series includes Wayne Grigsby’s earlier works in journalism. Grigsby’s articles are featured in various press’ arts and entertainment sections. The subjects of his articles primarily include reviews on various films, actors, and singers. Entertainers included in Grigsby’s article are Athol Fugard, Andre Lamy, Cinema Chez Nous, and other Canadian entertainers. Articles are written mainly in English; however, a few are in French from French publishers.
